Taryn Talks
Hello Taryn,
I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you to a long overdue edition of "Taryn Talks," where we dive into the heart of our journey to unlock our innate wisdom, embrace our unique rhythms, and cultivate a life of authenticity and empowerment.
As the sun graces us with its warm embrace and nature comes alive in vibrant hues, I've taken this summer as an opportunity to slow down, to sail on the tranquil waters of serenity in the Salish Seas, to nurture my garden's growth, and to play. 🌞⛵🌱
This season, for me, is all about connection—rekindling bonds with cherished friends, laughing with family, and collaborating with colleagues who inspire me daily. The symphony of laughter, the sharing of stories, and the joy of being present with one another - it's truly a time of blossoming connections.
Ah, my garden! It's become my sanctuary, my haven of tranquility. Amid the delicate petals of lilies and the cheerful buzz of hummingbirds, I find solace and renewal. Each blossom is a reminder of the beauty that comes from nurturing, from allowing ourselves to grow at our own pace, just as nature intended.
As I revel in these moments of serenity and connection, I'm also thrilled to share with you the rich tapestry of offerings we have for you in this month's newsletter. From an insightful blog post uncovering the transformative power of feminine wisdom derived from a captivating LinkedIn Live episode where we explore the science behind our empowerment, this edition is packed with gems of knowledge and inspiration.
And there's more! Our upcoming workshops on August 17th and 29th are your exclusive invitations to dive deeper into this remarkable journey. We'll equip you with practical tools to understand your neuropsychophysiology, honor your biology, and step into your authentic power.
So, let's celebrate this season of blossoming together. What's blooming in your world? What joys and connections are gracing your path? I'd love to hear from you.
With playful sincerity and compassionate warmth,

In a world that often glorifies constant hustle and perpetual motion, we often find ourselves swept up in the rush, struggling to keep up with the demands of our daily lives. Yet, amidst the chaos lies a profound wellspring of strength and wisdom – our innate wisdom. This hidden gem holds the keys to unlocking our true potential, guiding us toward authenticity, self-compassion, and empowered decision-making. In our recent LinkedIn Live event, Cynthia Gene and I explored this concept through the lens of feminine biology. What we know is that all humans can benefit from understanding this aspect, so we invite you to tap into your curiosity and learn more.
During our lively conversation, we delved deep into what it means to tap into the well of our natural energy cycles. Cynthia Gene beautifully articulated that our lives often mirror the changing seasons – spring, summer, fall, and winter – and that each phase holds unique strengths and attributes that we can harness. From the vibrant energy of spring to the reflective quiet of winter, understanding and honoring these phases can revolutionize how we approach life.
We passionately shared our insights, highlighting the importance of embracing rest and intuition as powerful tools on our journey. In a world that encourages ceaseless activity, it's easy to overlook the significance of rest. As Cynthia pointed out, rest is not a sign of weakness but rather a vital ingredient in our quest for empowerment. During these moments of reprieve, we can connect with our inner selves, assess our paths, and make decisions that align with our authentic desires.
Our conversation flowed seamlessly into the realm of self-compassion and self-care. Cynthia Gene eloquently shared how embracing self-compassion is not only an act of kindness towards oneself but a stepping stone to unlocking our true potential. The inner critic, that relentless saboteur, often keeps us confined within the boundaries of self-doubt and limitations. Identifying and challenging these narratives enable us to explore new heights and horizons.
One of the most insightful segments of our discussion centered around the impact of societal norms on our well-being because we often celebrate constant output in our current society. We discussed the importance of reframing rest as a pillar of productivity. The idea that rest, rejuvenation, and reflection can contribute to our overall success is a paradigm shift that can transform our lives.
Our discussion revealed that Unlocking Feminine Wisdom is not merely a concept that applies only to women but to all genders. It is a journey we are committed to guiding others through. The good news is that you can embark on this transformative journey with us.
We look forward to embarking on this transformative journey with you.

Speaking of unlocking wisdom (aka intuition), I had the honor of joining my first business coach, Melinda Cohan on her podcast, Just Between Coaches. Last month she announced that my particular episode was the most listened-to episode during her 100th episode recap. Wow! What a delight to receive this news.
I guess most of us are curious about how to cultivate our intuition. What is your relationship to your intuition? Did you know you can cultivate it? I ignored mine for years. Now it is something that I have begun to trust and invite into all areas of my life. My intuition has deepened as I have slowed down.
Listen in to see what two coaches dish out on this topic of "Using Your Intuition".
What is Intuition?
How does a lack of trust interfere with our intuition? What are the levels of listening, and how can we gauge them? Training your brain to cultivate intuition. Understanding how your intuition is communicated to you.
In this Season 1 finale of Just Between Coaches, Melinda Cohan and Taryn talk about leveraging your intuition without forcing it on your clients.
“I'm really latching on to when I have that chance to slow down enough to trust and listen to what I do know rather than what I think I don't know, and then the intuition has a quicker way of coming through.” – Taryn Laakso
